The George Washington Carver Food Enterprise Center is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to restore underutilized facilities and establish new food processing centers to create value-added products using Virginia’s diverse produce and agricultural products.
Our goals include:
- Provide a shared use facility that will provide entrepreneurs an opportunity to develop and expand food and catering businesses;
- Develop a food-based economic engine that will produce jobs, retain local farmland and promote value-added production;
- Promote sustainable agriculture, job skills training, and technical assistance;
- Form strategic alliances with like-minded organizations to increase access to nutritious food to all
